Gaming and Tactile Technology for Little Learners !

Gaming and Tactile technology are used in todays world for students to increase interactions and as well hands-on learning experiences. 📚💻

Tactile technology helps students through physical interactions, which as well benefits those who learn best by doing it. 

Gaming technology helps make learning more fun and motivating for students ! In ways such as actively participating in class. These are two strategies I believe would help benefit each student and as well challenge them by becoming fun!

ABCmouse

ABCmouse is an online educational program designed for children from the ages 2-8 years old. It has games based upon learning subjects such as reading, math, science and art. ABCmouse. This tool is perfect for little ones to learn their alphabet, practice counting and learning shapes, and even their colors. 

The curriculum provides many different games such as puzzles, virtual books, videos and printable activities. The children are able to decorate their own avatar, and as well receive the award of currency also referred to as "tickets" after every game. With the currency they are able to purchase items from the Shopping Center.

BrainPOPjr.

BrainPOPjr. is an animated educational platform for children from K-3rd grade. It provides fun learning videos and games for children to interact. It also has quizzes for children to take after a video, either as a whole class or on their own. The videos and games are based upon the subjects math, reading, and science.

BrainPOPjr. helps children improve on critical thinking and asking questions without becoming to overwhelmed. It also provides hands-on activities through videos that you can implement into the classroom.

Hello parents and students ! I am Ms. Ortiz and I will be your teacher for the year. Before we get started I would like to go over some rules. 

These are our classroom rules.

1. When we are walking we need to watch where were going with our looking eyes.

2. When Ms. Ortiz is talking we have to turn on our listening ears so we can follow instructions.

3. When we are doing activities or in the hallways we use our quiet voices.

4. We use our hands are for helping.

5. We use our walking feet in the classroom, building and in the library.

Through the animation they are able to learn new ways of how to apply learning in activities and as well have fun at the same time. The subjects they offer are math, reading and writing, social studies and science.

IXL is a FUN way for students to learn the subjects math, science, social studies, reading and writing. It helps the students practice and show their progress. Parents are also allowed to sign into their child account and view their progress.

Istation is a learning resource that is provided for Pre K-12. It also helps teachers keep track of the students progress and goes over the subjects math, science, social studies, reading and writing. Specifically reading and writing is covered in Istation for Pre K-12.
